This presentation will illustrate the theoretical concepts of the spectrum of quality improvement and implementation research studies as they apply to solutions in healthcare facilities related to antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention and control. Its sets the scene for four examples of quality improvement and intervention and implementation research studies conducted in Rwanda, Ghana and Zambia.
