Perspectives in the Pathological Prognostication of Colon Cancer in Africa
Abstract
The session will focus on pathologic aspects of the diagnosis and reporting of colon cancer, with an emphasis on both diagnostically challenging areas and those that especially impact patient management.
It will further highlight challenges in deploying diagnostic resources in low and middle income-settings.
Finally, it will address recent molecular genetic discoveries in colon cancer that have the potential to transform management.
